Learning Target: I can draw a Lewis Dot Diagram by determining the number of valence electrons. Please do Carbon and Oxygen, every column should be completed. Learning Target: I can identify valence electrons by drawing a dot diagram. Learning Target: I can explain the difference between an ionic and covalent bond through electron sharing.
Learning Target: I can identify elements on the periodic table by using their atomic number. We will be reviewing the periodic table and it's elements today! Learning Target: I can differentiate between a homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture or compound by identifying key traits. After reviewing the traits of a homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture, draw and label one example of each that is not in any of the examples below. Learning Target: I can illustrate the parts of an atom through drawing and labeling. Draw and label an atom: protons, neutrons, electrons, nucleus, electron shell/cloud. That's it! Learning Target: I can identify the parts of an atom through understanding what an electron, proton, and neutron are. We are moving on to the parts of an atom! The PowerPoint, notes, and video are below!
Learning Target: I can identify real world states of matter by giving examples and their properties. Assignment and video will be below! Learning Target: I can identify the three states of matter by giving real world examples. Review time! We will be reviewing material you have learned throughout the year, starting with matter! Notes and video are below. |
